Chef and author Bryant Terry once said, “What makes the farmers market such a special place is that you’re actually creating a community around food.” Terry has found a way to put what Spring makes us feel into words.
With the season right around the corner, fruit and vegetables are growing. A scent of perfume from blooming flowers. Wildlife is coming out of hibernation and visiting us. Berkeley Springs pieces all these treasures by holding a weekly farmers market for the community to enjoy nature together.
Starting in April, every Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, locally sourced produce and products are sold right in the center of town (beside the courthouse and across from the park). Take a stroll through Berkeley Springs and find yourself meandering through the tents of local farmers and producers. Buy fresh ingredients to prepare your favorite meals or to snack on during your trip.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend by taking in the beauty of spring. Take an outdoor adventure on the specially designed, one-of-a-kind Rock N Roll mountain biking trail at Cacapon State Park. You will be in awe of the breathtaking scenery.
Participate in horseback riding at Cacapon State Park. The playful animal will put a smile on your face as you trot through the park.
Berkeley Springs Antique Mall, Jules Enchanting Gifts and Collectibles, The Ice House Co-Op Gallery, and The Trail Depot are among my favorite shopping destinations. Fill the rest of your trip making memories with Berkeley Springs Cottage Rentals. Spend
your evening playing with the kids in the yard at Mountain Meltdown. Book Broadway Cottage to be within walking distance of all the town has to offer. Or stargaze on the large wraparound deck of Overlook at Sleepy Creek.
Berkeley Springs has a lot to offer. Don’t miss your chance to visit the Berkeley Springs Farmers Market this year. Journey through a few times from April to mid-December to keep your kitchen stocked with fresh ingredients and precious goods!
